When to Get Treatment

There is no perfect age that one can or cannot have orthodontic treatment. At Embrace Orthodontics, we do recognize that children and adults have different orthodontic needs and require different levels of attention and care. We will work with you and your child to ensure you get the most appropriate and personalized treatment.

AGE 7 & UP

The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends every child no later than age 7 to be evaluated by an orthodontist for early interceptive treatment to reduce the risk of severe orthodontic problem(s) later in life. Progressive observation and treatment are available throughout the childhood into the teen years. Our office makes it really convenient for you and fun for your kids, so everyone will enjoy their quality time with us during their orthodontic journey.

ADULT

It is never too late to consider orthodontic treatment. The decision to improve your smile and oral health can start at any age. About 25-30% of patients seeking orthodontic care are adults. If metal braces don’t seem appealing to you, we have clear braces or Invisalign to make your treatment more discrete. We offer evening and Saturday appointments, making it convenient to accommodate your busy schedule.
